This one-of-a-kind quilt began with a vintage quilt top, lovingly preserved and brought to completion with care and intention. The original blocks—each with its own story, quirks, and character—have been honored and kept intact, celebrating the beauty of belonging rather than perfection.
The quilt has been finished with 80/20 cotton–poly batting, providing warmth with a soft drape that makes it suitable for both everyday use and display. New coordinating fabrics were thoughtfully selected to complement the vintage quilt top, enhancing its colors while allowing the original work to remain the heart of the piece.
An edge-to-edge dragonfly quilting pattern adds gentle movement and symbolism throughout the quilt, unifying the varied blocks without overpowering them. The quilting ties the entire piece together, reinforcing strength, connection, and continuity.
The quilt is finished with coordinating borders that frame the design and a deep dark blue backing, offering a rich contrast and a calm, grounding finish.
