First Responder Upgrade- Flame Pattern

Each T-shirt is stabilized with backing material prior to cutting and sewing into quilt blocks. This strengthens the fabric and improves longevity. All T-shirt Quilts are made with 2-inch 100% cotton fabric (sashing) between each quilt block and 6-inch 100% cotton fabric outer borders to complete the quilt top. Tops are then quilted by "sandwiching" them together with another layer of 100% cotton fabric for the backing and a layer of 80% cotton/20% polyester batting in the middle.

First Responders' quilts are finished by professionally quilting them on a long arm machine with a flamed all-over, end to end stitching pattern. All other T-shirt quilts are finished with a standard loops pattern. 

This quilting process is what provides a quality quilt that will last a lifetime compared to a "blanket" that will only last a short time.
